National Education Programme

The Purpose of National Education

It si an exercise to develop instincts that become part of the psyche of every child. It must engender a shared sense of nationhood, an understanding of how our past is relevant  to our present and future. It must appeal to both heart and mind.

PM Goh Chok Tong
Teachers' Day Rally

National Education is the dissemination of knowledge about our nation-building process and how we would like to educate the next generation to feel the sense of loyalty, belonging and a shared sense of nationhood, what it is to be a Singaporean.
